BRONSTEIN AUDIO manufactures high quality microphones.

Bronstein Audio was founded by Serge Bronstein in 2011. Originally from Moscow, Russia, Serge has always loved computers and electronics. He started writing software at age 9 on a Soviet personal computer named BK-001001. Programs were loaded on this computer from audio tapes using a regular tape player. In addition to software, Serge has always been interested in audio/video electronics, frequently testing/disassembling equipment to see how it worked.

Serge relocated to US in '93 and to Southern California in 1996. In about 2010, he caught the film bug and decided to try his hand at film, since he happened to live near Hollywood, the entertainment capital of the world. He started producing a series of youtube videos and in 2011, he started writing his first feature film, The Aztec Box (IMDB, Site). On the set of the Aztec Box, Serge came in direct contact with various microphones used in film production. The crew mainly used three types of microphones - a boom pole mic, a standalone Zoom recorder and a camcorder mounted mic.

The camcorder mounted microphone produced superior sound when compared to the internal microphone. On a quest to build a better microphone, Serge disassembled the microphones he was using during production to see how the devices could be improved. After thorough testing, the company came out with it's first model, the BRN-200 - a dslr/camcorder microphone mounted on top of video recording devices. Following its popularity, the company has released it's second model, the DM-14 - a dynamic microphone intended to record vocals.

Bronstein Audio is a subsidiary of SEBRON. Sebron also operates Eindhoven Koord, a manufacturer of guitar strings.
